Are you unsure if you should be even considering planning a wedding now, due to the unknown future?

I want to share some tips that can ease the stress and hopefully give you some clarity on your decision.

1 - Your engaged!

Sooner or later you will most likely get married. You may have more time on your hands now to start the planning stages, I know a lot of wedding vendors will have more time than normal and you may even be able to catch up in person (if your not on lockdown) or over Zoom to find out more information

2 - Vendor dates filling up.

Many upcoming weddings in 2021 have now postponed to 2022 and 2023. What this means is most couples generally book 1-2 years in advance, so with 2022being busy already, trying to fit in each couple that have had to postpone due to COVID 19 has meant that 2022 is almost booked out.

It is unfortunate to any couples plans that have and were affected by COVID19 but also to couples enquiring for future dates in 2022 to 2023 to find out we personally am booked out already on their date due to COVID19 reschedules.

So if your looking for a 2022 and 2023 date, consider contacting the vendor eg photographer, venue etc to find out if they are available.

3 - The terms?

Find out the terms for each vendor if your wedding is affected by COVID 19. What are your options in case you are unable to go ahead with your original plans.

4 - This may open up the conversation behind what you really want.

Some couples have changed their wedding plans from 100 guests to 10, some have changed from 100 guests to an intimate elopement and other have kept with the same plans just changed the date. I think now is a great time to have a discussion about what you want from your day, are you after having every one their to witness your love or maybe something a little more intimate.

Many couples don’t expect the photographer of their dreams, the one they have been watching on Instagram, Facebook and more to already be booked out, even when they are looking 1-2 years down the track.

I have designed a wedding type quiz, which takes 2 mins for you to find out your wedding type. Click the button below to find your perfect wedding.
