Bali Childrens Foundation
It’s not every day we get the opportunity to make a difference in the world; and with those words said, how do we know exactly how, what or where to begin if we did? Feather & Finch Photography have aligned with Bali’s Children Foundation to ensure that we can play our part in the little lives within the more rural areas of the Indonesian Island, providing education and support throughout all their schooling days.
When I am not documenting love stories you will see me set amongst the waves, surfing, enjoying the coastal lifestyle we are so lucky to have on our door step in the Gold Coast and counting down the days until I am back on the Balinese shores. I am also a father to a beautiful little boy, Carter, who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and who of course has me wrapped around his finger; so naturally when I saw the opportunity to provide a huge shift in the future of these less fortunate children, and coincidently combine all three of my passions (family, photography and my island love), it was something I knew needed to be a part of – and not just as a one-off donation.
Feather & Finch have formed an ongoing relationship with Bali Children's Foundation ensuring our long-term campaign is seen to action; providing the funds for individual sponsor children to complete not only basic education but their university studies as well.
On a recent trip to Bali I went a little deeper than just your local touristy spots. Only a short distance away from the hustle and bustle are children in need of the simple things; beds, clothes and education. Having the privilege of watching my little man grow into the best he can be with all the right educational tools in Australia is a blessing, something we can sometimes take for granted yet a life essential these families are unable to provide to their own.
When I say I am passionate about this it is an understatement – it’s simply the least I can do. Our contributions will be made directly to Bali Children's Foundation with every booking made, so you too are making a difference in the lives of these kind-hearted kids. I am so excited to be able to capture the journey of the lives we are about to change; see their smiles, their knowledge grow and the proud love shine from their parents as it does for my own son! (oh, and I even receive their yearly report cards!!)
