Steph & Jarrah - Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove
The proposal
We had been planning a trip to the US and Canada for about two years, and finally took off in May 2018. One of the spots we both had been looking forward to visiting the most, was Lake Louise in Alberta, Canada. It is known for it's bluey-green water, and is positioned in front of a Chateau and snow capped mountains. We had spent the day out at a glacier, and then drove back to the lake, stopping at every other beautiful lake (there were hundreds) to take photos and videos on our trusty GoPro. Steph had absolutely no clue that Jarrah had been carrying around an engagement ring for the whole trip, and was planning to use the GoPro to secretly film the proposal. Given Steph was none the wiser, she continued to use up the camera battery BUT luckily it survived until we made it to the Lake. It was late in the afternoon, there wasn't many people around, and Jarrah set the camera up as if to take a self-timer picture of us both together. He had it recording on video, took Steph's hand and began to tell her how much he loved her, and how much she meant to him. Jarrah went to reach into his pocket, and Steph thought that he was kidding so playfully smacked his hand away as if to say "don't pretend about this! people are watching!". Jarrah then pulled out a ring box, knelt down on one knee and asked Steph to marry him. Steph's jaw hit the floor, and despite being in complete and utter shock she said YES YES YES!!!!
