Kirstin and Tom - Preston Peak Wines Wedding

There was no shortage of wedding ‘sparkle’ at Kirstin and Tom’s wedding, based at Preston Peak Winery.

Nestled in the hinterland of South East Queensland, Preston Peak Winery offers absolutely stunning photography opportunities, sumptuous cuisine and oodles of fun and intimate moments – it was everything Kirstin and Tom had longed for with their wedding.

It hasn’t been an easy ride for this couple. In 2014, Tom was in a serious car accident, spent weeks in hospital and endured multiple surgeries as he rebuilt his life. It took around four years to close off that chapter of medical and legal appointments and start something new. Then Covid-19 came along and delayed their wedding plans. But ever the optimists, this bubbly couple got their guests together this year and finally said, “I do”. 

It was an absolute delight to be asked to photograph Kirstin and Tom’s wedding day at Preston’s Peak Winery. The blue skies and dusky evening created a truly magical setting for my images. Kirstin looked stunningly beautiful in her elegant dress, and her groom Tom looked the epitome of a gentleman in his sophisticated black suit.

As a Gold Coast photographer, what I particularly loved about Kirstin and Tom’s wedding were the sunset shots. The lighting was perfect and added to the radiance that was tangible between this happy couple. They had told me before the wedding that they were most looking forward to seeing all their family and friends together and also having a few moments throughout the day just to soak it all in. I think it’s fair to say we captured it all that day.
