Kirsty & Peter - Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove
Describe the proposal?
We often go on holidays on our anniversary and the 7th year we decided on going to Queenstown, NZ. It was the second last day and on our anniversary that Peter planned for us to go on a helicopter tour around Milford Sounds. Unfortunately this day it was super cloudy so the company was emailing peter back and forth regarding changing the time we left as helicopters apparently cant fly through clouds. So a few hours later and a very quiet and nervous Peter finally said we were able to leave the house we were in and head to the airport. All was a go ahead by the time we got there. However being it was still cloudy we could not do the proper tour which ended up in us being dropped off on top of a mountain to have a picnic. So we had a short stop off instead. And typical me forgot to change into hiking boots and instead wore kmart canvas shoes so the pilot and peter had to make a pathway through the snow which was knee deep might I add for me to get out and explore. I was like a little child on christmas day running through the snow until peter grabbed me and got my attention and the proposal began. I was clueless as to why he was telling me the amount of years we had been together, I thought the cold had gotten to him and he was half dying. Until he got down on one knee.... still not certain what he was doing until he finally popped the question and out came the ring. I finally understood what was going on but stupidly had a brain fart and said did you ask my dad? before saying yes to him. But of course I obviously said yes and to almost 2 years later getting married.
